It’s July in Texas,  a perfect time to talk about our egg freezing event

19360003_sOur egg freezing event on Saturday, August 22nd at 4 pm at our Austin fertility center will address the promise and practicalities of fertility preservation during a panel discussion with our world renowned fertility specialists.

We will serve light refreshments, and space is limited so please RSVP.

We see headline-grabbing stories about egg freezing, including news that Apple and Facebook now offer the fertility treatment to their employees.  As a result,TFC is taking a leading role in educating the public and raising awareness about this issue. It’s important for women to understand the benefits of egg freezing, as well as the limitations of this fertility preservation option.

Cracking misconceptions at our egg freezing event

Egg freezing is a process that uses fertility medications to cause multiple eggs to develop over the course of about 2 weeks.  When the eggs are mature, they are aspirated from the ovaries during a 10 minute outpatient procedure.  The mature eggs can then be frozen indefinitely, and will be stored for your use whenever you are ready for them.

At our egg freezing event, we will answer questions and address some falsehoods about the fertility preservation treatment.

  • Egg retrieval involves major surgery. False.
  • Removing eggs affects my chance of conceiving naturally. False.
  • Egg freezing guarantees future fertility. False.
  • I can confidently freeze my eggs after my 40thFalse.

For many women, peace of mind is one of the biggest benefits of egg freezing. Having a supply of eggs cryopreserved (frozen) for the future alleviates much of the pressure to get pregnant within a certain timeframe. The biological clock is real. Egg quality declines with time, especially after age 35. If you are considering egg freezing, it’s best to take action sooner rather than later.

Contact Texas Fertility Center to schedule a consultation with our fertility specialists or to RSVP for our free egg freezing event on Saturday, August 22nd at 4 pm at our Austin location.
