About Allison Notgrass
Focal Point Photographics began in 2001 when I shot my first wedding. After graduating from Texas A&M with a degree in journalism, I moved back to my hometown of Round Rock to establish my studio in the Austin area, Since then, FPP has become a boutique photo studio photographing newborns, babies, children, and families… while still commissioning weddings in the Central Texas area. I love helping to tell the stories of peoples’ lives. I love the friendships I have made along the way. I love seeing my clients grow, relationships deepen and sharing individual joys and struggles through the years.
I met my husband on a photo shoot as luck would have it… and we were married in 2005. We had our first daughter in November 2006 and our second daughter in August 2008. They are my 3 cheerleaders and biggest fans.
Random things about me:
As a kid, I wanted to be a trapeze artist when I grew up… my first car was a 1963 Chevy Corvair… my husband and I both grew up in Round Rock, but didn’t meet until after college… I’ll buy heels but never wear them (I am a boots and flip-flops kind of girl)… I do my best work at night… being a photographer is the only “real” job I have ever had… being a mom is my greatest accomplishment.
Love movies and popcorn at home… Sunday mornings at church… making homemade chocolate chip cookies… camping at Inks Lake… coffee at any time of the day… anything from Anthropologie… decorating at Christmas… cotton candy… planning my girls’ birthday parties… spending quality time with my husband and family.
Nice to meet you!
