Meet Susan Hudson MD, a board certified reproductive endocrinologist
Texas Fertility Center is the new home to New Braunfels fertility specialist Susan Hudson MD. As a native of the area, she is proud to provide world-class infertility care to hopeful parents in the community she loves. Nationally, she has also become well-known as a founder and host of the Fertility Docs Uncensored podcast and as a co-author of “The IVF Blueprint: Everything You Need to Know About In Vitro Fertilization, Egg Freezing, and Embryo Transfer.” She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Susan Hudson MD has extensive experience in reproductive medicine and infertility care
Susan Hudson MD was inspired to enter the field of reproductive medicine to help men and women accomplish their family-building goals.
“So much of medicine is about maintaining the status quo, but reproductive medicine exists to diagnose and treat the causes of infertility,” she says. “I love that the end goal is to help men and women become parents.”
New Braunfels fertility specialist Susan Hudson MD earned her Bachelor of Science and medical degrees at Texas A&M University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Scott & White in Temple, Texas. She then completed fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she got to see “the world’s best integrative medicine in action.”
After completing her fellowship, Dr. Hudson returned home to Texas to work as a reproductive endocrinologist. After working with an infertility group in San Antonio for three years, Susan Hudson MD opened her own practice in New Braunfels, providing infertility care to men and women for five years before joining Texas Fertility Center in 2018 as a New Braunfels fertility specialist, helping even more patients become parents. Today, she also serves as laboratory director for both the Ovation® Fertility New Braunfels and Ovation Fertility Corpus Christi IVF labs.
Dr. Hudson lends her expertise to multiple fertility-related organizations, serving as an NPUA reviewer for Progyny, an insurance expert reviewer for IMEDECS, and as a member of the board of directors of the Fertility Pharmacy of America.
A busy fertility specialist and mother
“The entire process gave me a unique perspective on infertility care, and I believe it has made me a better fertility specialist,” she says. “There are some things you can only understand from the perspective of a patient.”
When she isn’t working or chauffeuring her children, our New Braunfels fertility specialist enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and using her season tickets to see performances at the Majestic Theatre.
