Congratulations to our newest Fertility Super Doctors

We are proud to announce TFC’s 2025 fertility Super Doctors

What’s the best way to choose a fertility doctor? Most people say that the recommendations of their trusted OBGYN or family doctor are a great start. Super Doctors are nominated every year based on peer recommendations just like this. For 2025, six Texas Fertility Center physicians were honored with inclusion in that elite list – all of them for at least the second time.

Every year, TFC physicians are honored as Texas Super Doctors. We are incredibly excited to congratulate this year’s outstanding TFC honorees.

How did we become Fertility Super Doctors?

The Super Doctors® list, representing reproductive endocrinologists and 40 other medical subspecialties, is chosen by peer recommendation. This means that doctors are nominated to become Super Doctors by other doctors, based on who they would choose for their own families’ medical needs. Nominees must pass through an extensive review process before being named to the list. We are so proud to be able to say that year after year, Texas Fertility Center physicians are recognized as members of this prestigious group of elite physicians.

Considerations when choosing reproductive endocrinologists

A Super Doctors designation is a big vote of confidence for a physician, but there are many other factors to think about when looking for a specialist to help you grow your family. Our Texas Fertility Super Doctors offer this advice to couples searching for a fertility doctor in the South and Central Texas regions.

  • Lisa Hansard: “Board certification is important. Look for a board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). This certification requires advanced training and rigorous, ongoing adherence to continuing education and standards of care.”

  • Susan Hudson: “When choosing a fertility clinic, look for a team that prioritizes clear communication, individualized treatment and compassionate care. Fertility care is not one-size-fits-all, and your clinic should take the time to understand your history, your goals and your concerns. Ask how your physician will personalize your plan, how often you’ll meet directly with your doctor, and how the team supports you emotionally and medically throughout treatment. Above all, choose a clinic that makes you feel informed, respected and truly seen … not just as a patient, but as a person.”

  • Erika Munch: “Find out about the practice’s history and reputation. A fertility practice with staff who enjoy working there, with each other and with patients, as well as good interpersonal communications, is one that you’ll likely be able to click with, especially considering the amount of time and communication you’ll be sharing with them.”

  • Anthony Propst: “Get the whole picture of how fertility care is provided at each practice. Does the facility feel modern, warm and welcoming? Is there an accredited on-site IVF lab? Where are surgical procedures and embryo transfers performed? A state-of-the-art fertility practice will make you feel welcome and provide access to the best of the best in technology and clinical care.”

  • Amy Schutt: “Fertility treatment can be a stressful journey, and solid support from an experienced fertility center team makes a big difference. That includes not just the clinical expertise of your fertility specialist, but day-to-day interactions with the nursing staff, billing team, scheduling staff, front desk and lab team. Visit the facility in person, talk to the staff, and trust your instincts. A friendly, responsive team will help to carry you through.”

  • Kaylen Silverberg: “Look for fertility specialists who are passionate about providing the best possible patient experience and outcomes. A physician who is active in publishing, advocacy or research is working to advance the state of the art in fertility care for every patient, including their own.”
