IVF Class

Prepare for Fertility Treatment with IVF Class

Whether you are investigating in vitro fertilization as a treatment option, or have decided to move forward with IVF, you’ll need guidance and support.

Texas Fertility Center physicians, IVF lab embryologists and staff members lead a monthly IVF Class session to address your questions and concerns. Click here for the next IVF Class date.

During interactive IVF seminars, TFC fertility doctors discuss commonly asked questions about this advanced reproductive technology, and invite participants to engage in the discussion. The fertility education program is designed so that you leave with a better understanding of IVF.

The topics we cover include:

  • Infertility causes that lead to a recommendation for IVF
  • Transitioning from basic infertility treatments to IVF
  • Fertility tests that clearly identify the need for IVF
  • What to expect with the IVF process, from injectable medications to embryo transfer

Inside the IVF Lab

A Texas Fertility Center embryologist from our partner Ovation Fertility Austin will discuss the IVF cycle from a behind-the-scenes perspective. For example, a high-resolution video enables you to see inside the IVF lab incubators where embryos grow from egg retrieval to the day of transfer. Our hope is to demystify IVF lab procedures, clearly explaining:

  • Egg retrieval and embryo transfer
  • Intracytoplasmic sperm injection ICSI
  • Cryopreservation
  • Embryo biopsy and PGD
  • The process of fertilization
  • Embryo grading

Deciphering IVF Success Rates and Donor Services

During this presentation, our fertility specialist will also discuss pregnancy rates and live birth rates associated with IVF. TFC doctors will explain third party reproduction, an option for individuals and couples that can increase the chances for getting pregnant with gestational carriers, donor eggs, donor embryos and donor sperm with IVF.

IVF orientation is recommended for all TFC patients, as well as singles & couples that are exploring treatment options for infertility care.

The staff and reproductive endocrinologists at Texas Fertility Center recognize that the journey from an infertility diagnosis to IVF can feel intimidating. We invite you to explore our website for more information on IVF and to attend an upcoming IVF orientation.

IVF Classes are open to all TFC patients and anyone interested in learning more about IVF. Due to the popularity of our programs registration is required.
