At ASRM 2018, Dr. Silverberg discussed a new FDA-approved medication for the treatment of moderate to severe endometriosis pain. It is the first new endometriosis treatment approved in over a decade. Unlike other medications, elagolix (Orilissa) is available as a pill rather than as an injection. It is a very effective medication that has milder side effects than other treatments.
