Dr. Silverberg Talks Essential Medical Treatments with KXAN

KXAN reports that TFC is providing essential medical treatments

In the face of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Austin code inspectors are working hard to ensure compliance with new citywide orders. After an anonymous tip, they came to Texas Fertility Center (TFC). However, they quickly discovered that our Austin fertility center is in full compliance with the orders and providing essential medical treatments.

KXAN interviewed Kaylen Silverberg MD and an IVF patient at TFC about this situation and their thoughts on whether fertility care falls under essential medical treatments. According to Dr. Silverberg, “When people question the value of whether or not we are essential, it raises all of those stereotypes, stigmas and myths about fertility and fertility treatment.”
